Gigs This Week

Indie rockers, Sunset Sons are at Glasgow’s Queen Margaret Union (QMU) tonight (Thursday 24th March 2016). The band, from both The UK and Australia, are set to release their debut LP, “Very Rarely Say Die” next month.

Adele kicks off the first of a double Hydro header on Friday (25th March 2016). The Tottenham-born, singer/songwriter is out in support of her third LP, “25” which dropped in November 2015; it features the singles, “Hello” and “When We Were Young”. Adele will also play The SSe Hydro on Saturday (26th March 2016). 

Indie poppers, BIS are scheduled to play Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Friday (25th March 2016). The band, from Glasgow, formed in 1994 and have released four studio LPs to date, the most recent being 2014’s “Data Panik Etcetra”. Support comes from The Yummy Fur.

Edinburgh’s Usher Hall plays host to The Last Shadow Puppets on Saturday (26th March 2016). The duo, consisting of Arctic Monkeys frontman, Alex Turner and Miles Kane, are out in support of their second LP, “Everything You’ve Come To Expect”, which is due to drop next month. It follows their 2008 debut album, “The Age Of The Understatement”.

Billy Lockett is scheduled to play Nice ‘N’ Sleazy’s on Saturday (26th March 2016) as part of his current UK Tour. The singer/songwriter, from Northampton, is out in support of his brand new EP, “Burn It Down”. Support comes from Megan Airlie and The Mermaids.

The Voice UK’s 2015 winner, Stevie McCrorie is scheduled to play Glasgow’s Oran Mor on Sunday (27th March 2016) and Edinburgh’s Caves on Monday (28th March 2016). McCrorie released his first major label LP, “Big World” in January of this year, Support comes from fellow Scot, Carly Connor.

Norwegian pop band, A-ha are at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on Monday (28th March 2015). The band, who originally formed in 1982, are best known for their 1984 single, “Take On Me”. The band released their 10th studio LP, “Cast In Steel” in September 2015.

Years & Years are at Glasgow’s 02 Academy for a double dose on Tuesday (29th March 2016) and Wednesday (30th March 2016). The electro-pop trio from London released their debut LP, “Communion” in July 2015; it features their UK number one single, “King”.
