Gigs This Week

DJ Tom Loud is is bringing “the world’s fastest dance party” to Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange for three consecutive nights kicking off on Thursday (18th August 2016) and running until Saturday (20th August 2016). Since its 2011 debut in Australia, Hot Dub Time Machine has broken dance-floors across the world.

Tiga is at Glasgow’s Sub Club on Thursday (18th August 2016). Tiga, aka Tiga James Montag, is a Canadian musician, DJ and record producer in electronic dance music. Tiga is out in support of his latest LP, “No Fantasy Required”; it follows his 2006 debut, “Sexor” and 2009’s “Ciao!”. Support comes from Jonas Rathsman.

Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut play host to Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx on Thursday (18th August 2016) and Friday (19th August 2016) consecutively. The band, from Los Angeles, formed in 2002 and have released four rock albums as Bronx as well as three full-length albums of mariachi music under the alter-ego, Mariachi El Bronx.

Huxtable make their King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut debut on Saturday (20th August 2016). The duo, a riff rock Ayrshire born-band are out in support of their EP, “It’s A Trap”.

Coming over from Australia, I Killed The Prom Queen can be found at Glasgow’s Cathouse on Monday (21st August 2016) and will be supported by The Borrowing. Currently in the middle of their European Tour, the band haven’t released new material since 2014’s “Beloved”.

Pop punks, Good Charlotte are set to headline Glasgow’s 02 Academy on Wednesday (23rd August 2016). The band, known for their signature songs, “Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous” and “Girls & Boys”, formed in 2002 and released their sixth studio LP, “Youth Authority” last month.

Just Announced

Punk duo, Slaves have announced plans to play Glasgow’s Barrowland on 18th November 2016. The gig announcement coincides with their second LP, “Take Control” which is scheduled to drop next month.
