Gigs This Week

Hampshire-born Marika Hackman is scheduled to play King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Tuesday (30th May 2017). Hackman is out in support of forthcoming second studio effort, “I’m Not Your Man” which is due for release next month; it follows 2015’s “We Slept At Last”.

American singer/songwriter Anastacia is set to play Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday (30th May 2017). The Chicago born singer has released seven studio albums since her 2000 debut album, “Not That Kind” and is best known for her hit singles, “I’m Outta Love”and “Left Outside Alone”.

American alt-rockers, Madina Lake are at King Tut’s on Wednesday (31st May 2017). The band, who formed in 2005, have released three studio albums throughout their career, the most recent being “World War III” in 2011.

Acoustic singer/songwriter, Jack Savoretti is scheduled to play Kelvingrove Bandstand on Thursday (1st June 2017), with support from Michael Cassidy. Savoretti released his fifth studio album, “Sleep No More” in 2016.

Glasgow’s Barrowland plays host to Chilean-American composer, Nicholas Jaar on Thursday (1st June 2017). Jaar released his second studio effort, “Sirens” in September of last year.

The Divine Comedy are scheduled to play Kelvingrove Bandstand on Friday (2nd June 2017). The band, from Northern Ireland, formed in 1989 and released their 11th studio album, “Foreverland” in September¬†2016.

American singer/songwriter, Haley Reinhart is scheduled to play Glasgow’s Oran Mor on Saturday (3rd June 2017) with support from Reverieme. Reinhart came third in the tenth season of American Idol and released her debut offering, “Listen Up!” in 2012; her second studio effort, “Better”¬†followed last year.

Queen Of Funk Chaka Khan is scheduled to play Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Bandstand on Sunday (4th June 2017). With a career spanning 5 decades, Chaka Khan, aka Yvette Marie Stevens, is best known for hit singles, “I’m Every Woman”, “I Feel For You” and “Ain’t Nobody”.

Brit-born Callaghan is at Glasgow’s CCA on Monday (5th June 2017). Callaghan, aka Georgina Callaghan, released her debut album, “Life In Full Colour” in 2012; she found fame on BBC’s “Get Your Act Together”.
